The practical workshop for small and medium-sized enterprises, “Designing Responsible Supply Chains – Reporting on Sustainability,” held on May 4, 2017, at VW Commercial Vehicles, provided information on the key background of the topic and offered participants from the business community a forum for professional exchange.

Presentations by State Secretary Yasmin Fahimi of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, Prof. Dr. Gerhard Prätorius, Head of Sustainability at Volkswagen, Dr. Horst Schrage, Chief Executive Officer of the Hanover Chamber of Industry and Commerce, and Christoph Meinecke, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Lower Saxony Business Associations, introduced the event’s theme.

Representatives from companies including HARTING, Otto Group, VW Commercial Vehicles, Neudorff, Konica Minolta, WERKHAUS, and Aurubis shared insights from the practical application of CSR and sustainability management. The practical insights were supplemented by expert presentations from the Centre for Sustainability Management (Leuphana University of Lüneburg), the Chair of Business Administration (University of Hamburg), and imug.
