Cross cluster offerings

In addition to its cluster structure, econsense offers a wide range of resources on various current topics. Here is a current selection.

Corporate Governance

In recent years, numerous regulatory developments at the German and European levels—such as reporting requirements, due diligence obligations, and governance guidelines—have created a new dynamic. It is becoming clear that companies which established clear responsibilities, stable structures, and strategically aligned sustainability governance early on are navigating this phase of regulatory change far more successfully. They can assess and implement new requirements more quickly while consistently advancing their sustainability efforts as part of their business strategy.

A central component of econsense’s work is the exchange among member companies regarding practical experiences, challenges, and potential solutions. The goal is to help companies permanently integrate sustainability into their management and decision-making processes, thereby creating a solid foundation for a successful and sustainable transformation. In addition to its work in the clusters, econsense offers tailored programs such as the Supervisory Board Program for members and participants in the Competence Program.

AI & Sustainability

We are at a crossroads of transformation: sustainability without AI is too slow, and AI without sustainability becomes a risk. This is where econsense comes in, supporting knowledge exchange across all clusters and the competence program through a series of events that explore the opportunities, potential, and risks of AI in relation to sustainability for businesses. The sessions cover topics such as the legal framework, ethical and environmental aspects, practical use cases, and the role of sustainability departments in dealing with AI.

"Sustainability Pays Off" as a project

Based on our position paper, the thesis “Sustainability pays off” has evolved into a standalone project at econsense. Together, we are collecting real-world examples and data, which we discuss and refine with our members in various formats. The goal is to make sustainability even more measurable and actionable as a strategic tool, so that companies can reap the maximum benefits from this transformation.

Sustainability Communication

To fully capitalize on the opportunities presented by sustainability in a holistic and long-term manner, we need a language that highlights these opportunities, dispels reservations, and thereby builds trust. This applies both to integrating sustainability into companies’ core business and to embedding the issue within society. That is why we at econsense are increasingly focusing on the communicative dimension of sustainability and offering our own platforms for dialogue on this topic.
