What will be the major developments in the field of sustainability in 2023? What do companies need to know to face the upcoming challenges? These questions will be discussed in our free digital event (in German) on January 19, 2023, from 9.00 to 10.00 am.

2023 year of implementation

The year 2022 was characterized by increasing geopolitical uncertainties for the German economy. The disruptive consequences of the Russian war in Ukraine have influenced energy markets and global supply chains. However, considerable regulatory developments were implemented, too, such as the German Act on Corporate Due Diligence Obligations for the Prevention of Human Rights Violations in Supply Chains (LkSG) or the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) at European level. These regulatory changes will profoundly alter the way companies manage sustainability in the short and medium term.

In 2023, companies need to implement these regulatory requirements. At the same time, they have to deal with increased uncertainty and higher prices for energy and many preliminary products without reducing their ambitions in the climate sector.

Together with the experts of the econsense team we will look ahead to the new year and discuss the upcoming political plans, developments, and milestones. The event will focus on what is particularly important for companies in this regard.
