About
As we move toward a climate-neutral economy, one tool in particular is emerging as a key way for companies to demonstrate their climate ambitions: science-based targets (SBTs). Not only have more than 1,300 companies worldwide adopted SBTs, but more than half of econsense’s members have already done so or are in the process of developing them. But what exactly does “science-based” mean, and how does this approach work in practice?
We will address these questions at a public digital event on June 1, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. We want to discuss SBTs and their benefits for companies, the practical challenges, and future developments with you.
Anna Lena Hackelsberger, Energy and Climate Advisor at econsense, will present the recently published econsense paper “Accelerating the Race to Net Zero – How Companies Set, Implement, and Benefit from Science-Based Targets.” Additionally, Lea Fink (CDP) will provide an outlook on the future of science-based climate target setting. Following this, selected experts from econsense member companies will share their experiences and insights on SBTs in a panel discussion.
We look forward to your participation and your questions!
