Generali Deutschland is the second biggest direct insurance provider in the German market with total premium income of 17.8 billion € and more than 13.5 million clients. Insurers like Generali Versicherungen, AachenMünchener, CosmosDirekt, Central Krankenversicherung, Advocard Rechtsschutzversicherung, Deutsche Bausparkasse Badenia and Dialog belong to the German part of Generali. Sustainability is a central part of the corporate values. Sustainability means to act responsible for future generations from an economical, ecological and social perspective. Generali Deutschland is part of the Assicurazioni Generali and adapts the general principles of the international Generali Group. We are aware of our position as a focal point for the interests and expectations of a broad range of stakeholders (employees, shareholders and investors, clients, suppliers, issuing companies, institutions and local communities)and so in managing our business we seek to create value for the company and – together – also for our stakeholders. The Sustainability Report of the international Generali Group applies for Generali Deutschland as well.

07/04/2013 | Generali invests in the environment by cutting energy consumption and works for the community

The Generali Group is strengthening its commitment to the environment and social issues. In 2012 it achieved further reductions in consumption of power, 80% of which now comes from renewable sources. Furthermore, the Group’s is committed to the community, where it has adopted new tools – the Charter of Sustainability Commitments and the Code of Conduct – to work effectively and more transparently for its stakeholders. All this is detailed in the Group Sustainability Report, published on the www.generali.com website.

Founded in 2000 on the initiative of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the goal of econsense is to provide a dialogue platform and think tank, with the dual objectives of advancing sustainable development in business and assuming social responsibility.
